About Laurel:
(Taken from authors website)
Like Professor Lightfoot,
Laurel’s life experiences has given her a healthy respect for the eco-system and all living things; hence: Professor Lightfoot's mantra, Leave only footprints.
As a mother to her young son Laurel had many expeditions of her own and she is drawing upon those experiences with Reese to give Professor Lightfoot the wisdom that children seem to possess that have long since escaped from us as adults!
