Secondhand books for Giveaways??

I have hundreds of books that I'be bought and not read. . .  So instead of throwing them out I thought I might give some away BUT I want to know if you'd enter to win them or not.

Please be aware if I did put these books up for a giveaway they are new not bent of battered.

When you enter a giveaway do you prefer the book to be brand new or secondhand?
Would you enter my giveaways if they were second hand books?

  4. As long as a book doesn't look as if it's been dragged through half the continent and back this is fine :-) !

  8. I think it's a great idea. I've even seen people give away library discards or clearance books - as long as they know what they're getting, what's the problem?

And if it weren't for pre-loved books, how would we ever afford our reading habit?

  9. Absolutely! Even my R.A.K list, I would totally take 2nd hand of any of those. Nothing wrong with used books, because after I finish them, I donate them to various places.

  10. No problem with second hand at all. In fact I think it is sensible.

  11. I definitely would enter! New books are always fun, but if they're not in _terrible_ shape (meaning I almost can't read them), I'm game either way. If they're practically new used books, I'd most certainly enter. I'm the kind of girl who would look through garage sales for good books, so secondhand books doesn't bother me at all :)
